The organizations AGSEP and “Peace Village International” have asked the Central Sports School for Intercultural Integration in Nattandiya in a joint action completed and opened. A major concern of the project is the peaceful exchange between different ethnic groups (Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims), coupled with the support of children who are directly affected by the tsunami. The sporty cooperation can contribute to reduce prejudices and thus advance the peace process.
Our target group is children aged 04-14 years who were in a period of 8 weeks basics in football and swimming should be taught. Associates are all Sports courses with language teaching, either in English or German.
On 28.10.2005, the official opening of the Sports School in Nattandiya by the Head of AGSEP, Mr. Doering, and his interns took place.
